Parrot Sequoia Multispectral Sensor: Revolutionize Your Agricultural Mapping

    Affordable Crop Data Collection

Gone are the days when NDVI mapping was exclusive to mega farms with immense budgets. Renting satellites or hiring helicopters is now a thing of the past. With the Parrot Sequoia Multispectral Sensor, any consumer drone can be transformed into an agricultural mapping powerhouse.

Optimize Plant Health and Crop Yield

The Sequoia sensor gathers critical data to help you adjust pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and irrigation, ensuring maximum plant health and crop yield. Identify and treat plant diseases before it’s too late, saving time and resources.

    Compact Precision Instrument

Despite its small size, the Sequoia is a powerful precision instrument. Working alongside an upward-facing sunshine sensor, both components weigh less than 4 ounces. The Sequoia itself is under 2½ inches long, and the sunshine sensor is even smaller.

    Key Features:

    • Four Cameras: Capturing images of green, red, red edge, and near-infrared bands.

    • 14MP RGB Camera: For high-resolution crop images.

    • GPS and IMU: Ensuring precise positioning and location of images.

    • Sunshine Sensor: Automatically adjusts readings to ambient light conditions.

    • 64GB Built-In Memory: For data recording.

    • Optional SD Card Slot: Adding memory and easing data transfer.

    • WiFi and USB Access: For easy data retrieval.

    • Geotagging: Pinpointing exact locations of data and images.

    • Versatile Mounting: Compatible with various multi-rotor and fixed-wing drones.

    How Sequoia Works

Sequoia is a sophisticated system of cameras and electronics working seamlessly to gather images and measure light from crops and fields. This data, geotagged for precise location, provides a detailed picture of crop health, similar to satellite NDVI measurements.

    Attachment and Functionality:

    • Sequoia attaches to the underside of your drone.

    • Four cameras capture individual bands of light, including invisible infrared bands:

      • Green (550nm BP 40nm)

      • Red (660nm BP 40nm)

      • Red Edge (735nm BP 10nm)

      • Near Infrared (790nm BP 40nm)

    • This detailed analysis surpasses single multi-band sensors.

Sequoia adjusts for drone speed, altitude, and sunlight variations to maintain accurate readings. The included sunshine sensor attaches to the top of your drone.

    RGB Camera:

    • Useful for scouting field and crop conditions.

    • Captures up to one full-color image per second.

Geotagged images ensure you know the exact location of each image and data point. Your drone can return to specific coordinates to scout areas of concern.

    Informed Decision-Making

With a detailed crop map, farmers can make precise decisions on applying pesticides, fungicides, fertilizers, and water. Micro-plot management saves time and money by targeting only the necessary areas. Early detection and treatment can save entire crops.

    Economic Benefits

Crop mapping and analysis play a crucial role in forecasting yields, helping farmers plan and manage resources efficiently.

    Plentiful Memory

The Sequoia has 64GB of internal memory, enough for 8-10 flights, depending on the aircraft, speed, and altitude. The optional SD card slot allows for easy data transfer and recording from single flights.

    Data Access:

    • Built-in WiFi

    • USB port

    Estimated availability: 2-4 weeks
